Kick Butts Day
Stand Out, Speak Up and Seize Control against Big Tobacco

Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers young people to Stand Out, Speak Up and Seize Control against Big Tobacco.
Kick Butts Day (KBD) 2013 is the 3rd of April and we are now accepting project submissions and registration. On Kick Butts Day young people from schools, youth groups and community groups across the country hold different events and activities that call attention to the problems caused by Big Tobacco and its need to recruit young people as replacement smokers for the adults who quit or die from their addiction.
Registering your event is important to show the public and the tobacco control community why empowering young people is essential and it sends a strong message about the commitment of young people to tackling tobacco use. You can register yourself/your group by downloading the submission form and returning it to kbd@ashwales.org.uk or by post to KBD team, ASH Wales, 2nd Floor, 8 Museum Place, Cardiff CF10 3BG.
Note to Adults working with young people:
As a teacher, youth leader, or health advocate, you can help organise these events and mobilise young people to raise awareness about the problems of tobacco use in your school and community.
